Yesterday...

I stayed home from work yesterday with Trevor and intended to type an article for my site, but time got away from me and now I'm typing news I meant to share yesterday.

The annual Van Vleck Christmas Band Concert was on Sunday and Jordan did a wonderful job tooting her flute.  Trevor woke up Sunday morning with a fever and headache so he and Gena stayed home from church to let him rest and I sang, "Word of God Speak" in church.  Jordan and I picked up some items from HEB on the way home and we then got ready for the concert.  Gena and I had to work the concert as usual.  She was the refreshment queen and I ran the spreadsheet that kept track of all the prize giveaways (over 100).

Trevor was still sick during the concert and he slept in Gena's classroom while we worked.

On Monday morning I checked Trevor's temperature and found that he was still running fever so I stayed home with him.  Gena set up a doctor's appointment and Trevor and I visited Dr. Sebastian at 9:30am.  She could not find an infection that might have been causing the fever so said that it was probably just a bug and keep giving him something for the headaches and fever.  If the fever didn't go away by tonight, we were supposed to take him back to see her, but Trevor was feeling much better by last night and is in school today.

Even though I stayed home yesterday, we still haven't finished Christmas decorations.  We must be the busiest family on the face of the earth.  If we ever do complete the decorations, I'll post some pictures here.

Today I am staying after work to teach a PowerPoint Class and work on gifts for the staff from the technoology department.  If we don't finish the gifts today, I'll be staying late again tomorrow.  Working this far from home is a real bummer but at least I'm not in Iraq anymore.
