Santa Claus came early this year. I was driving home from work yesterday and I try to call my wife and one of her students answered in the auditorium and said she can't come to the phone, she's on the stage. Naturally I thought that she was yelling at her kids, so I told the student to tell her to call me when she can and she hang up. About 5 minutes later another student called me from Gena's cell phone and said that Mrs. Smith was riding with EMS to the Hospital and couldn't talk right now. So I told her to call me when she could. Another 10 minutes went by and Gena finally called me. One of her students had passed out on stage and they had to call 9-1-1. They were on their way to the hospital and Trevor was on his way to El Zarape with the Superintendent and her family. I picked up Trevor, ate some tacos and went to the hospital. It turned out to only be an anxiety attack and we waited for her dad to arrive before we left for home. When we got home someone had put the Christmas wrap on the mailbox...strange. We drove into the driveway and saw that the wreath was on the door and a note that said, "All you have to do now is put up the tree and the lights. Love Santa." Someone broke into our hose and decorated! Ha! Yes, the Christmas decorations were almost totally finished. The carpet was vacuumed and the dishes were washed and put away. The laundry had even been folded....wow! I like this Santa. Gena was hysterical. She needed to know who did this. I assured her that a thief would not have decorated but she still started making phone calls in tears trying to find the culprit, which turned out to be Jordan. What a wonderful daughter to do all that for us. She came home unexpectedly and snuck over while we were out because she heard her mom say that we hadn't had time to decorate yet this year. Way to go Jo! Gena later said it was the best present ever.
