Last night, (Saturday), Trevor was opening a can of cat food and he sliced his finger open. His mom rushed him to the sink to rinse out the cut and see how deep it was. I took over and finished cleaning it off then applied pressure to stop the bleeding which was flowing rather freely. As I stood at the sink with Trevor's finger pinched between two of mine, Trevor told me that his stomach was feeling bad and he thought he might have to throw up. I noticed that he had suddenly turned yellow so I asked Gena to bring us a trash can. She did, and Trevor filled it with his supper, but he claimed it didn't taste bad like his vomit usually does. Ha.
I stopped the bleeding long enough to wrap a band-aid around his finger and we took a trip to the emergency room in Sweeny. The Doctor re-cleaned the cut, re-applied pressure and then super-glued it closed with Derma-Bond, or something like that.
It was quite a bit of excitement and you will be happy to know that Trevor is doing fine and has only reopend the cut once since last night. I guess the super glue isn't as fantastic as one might think.
