Trevor posed on the root ball of the fallen tree, and if you look to the right of the picture you can just see the edge of the dog pens...yes, they were completely in the water. About 10 inches of water was in the dog pens when I got home from work on Wednesday, along with a note on the front door from animal control. I was rather upset by the note, after all, I didn't cause the flood and as soon as I got home I took care of moving them to higher ground. Trevor and I moved the dog pens a couple of days later...what a job...it took hours to break down and rebuild those things. Of course it didn't help that there was still about 8 to 10 inches of standing water.
